i took this little guy our of a memory jar...from about 2 or so years ago? This one day, I randomly decided to sing at an Open Mic on campus. WHAT!?! I know, seems so foreign to be now...but i'm using it as my header for awkward and awesome thursday, because it was just that. A little bit of both. Awesome for obvious reasons: like bravery that I didn't know I had. Awkward for less obvious reasons, unless you were there.
For example:
In the middle of a song when I made a tiny mistake, I countered by saying "my hands are sweaty"...and then continued the song. yep. that's me.
ANYWHO let's do this eh?
This week AWKWARD:
+ biking home from classes today, looking like a wet rat, accepting many stares of pity from people in their warm cars. YEAH GET OVER IT - IT'S RAINING.
+ not shaving my legs for MANY weeks now...and having to empty my razor pretty much every pull, since it couldn't keep up with the amount of carpet it was removing
+ having the dance floor cleared for a synchronized dance to "Club Can't Even Handel Me Right Now"...and having one of our dance mates slip and completely wipe out at the end. laughed for about 37 minutes straight
+ my handle bars on my bike are unexplainable sticky. like REALLY sticky. kinda like when you take a sticker off something, and you regret it afterwards because everything sticks to it. like hair. ewwww.
+ i found a hair in the microwave the other day. it wasn't mine. FOR REAL. HOW DOES IT GET THERE!?!?!
+ how sweaty i am when i get to class from biking there really fast (well, sorta fast...fast enough for me). it's gross.
+ literally everytime i go to this one restaurant, i'm really exited for leftovers. and they give me my leftovers. AND I FORGET THEM. i can't even count how many times it has happened. pathetic really.
+ OH THIS ONES GOOD: commenting on someones Facebook status that i haven't takes to in years, only to find out HOURS later that it was the wrong person with the same first name. wowza. good times:)
AWESOME
+ how i still don't dread going to work, so refreshing!
+ moments when i have a minute of free time, which are rare, but WONDERFUL
+ graduating in december! starting to get P.U.M.P.E.D.
+ ultimate frisbee tourney this weekend! woo! and it's supposed to actually not be tsunami weather liked his whole week was, so that'll be nice!
+ studying for my parasitology exam (nerdy, i know. accept it). i LOVE microscopes.
+ MY. NEW. MAC. is so pretty. it stresses me out how pretty it is. i always do this weird thing with new things. like not use it because it's new. how backwards is that?!?
Other than that, lovin' life. And livin' like a rockstar. kinda...:)
