mini scrapbooks make my heart warm

my frisbee team (ex-team i guess since i graduated, tear:( ) has a gift exchange each year, and i decided to make a little scrapbook for the lovely girls name that i drew for it.

her name is kristin (we call her huhot)

anywho...i made her this little book and thought i would share because it was super fun to make, and it would be a great thing to make as a gift for someone!

in highschool, i taught a mini book making class for a little art festival the school had, it was really  fun to do, and i have a bunch of left overs from the ones i had to make for the class. the covers are pieces of cardboard covered in paper, duct taped together. the binding is just a piece of string. sometimes, simple is wonderful:)

i like to layout each page, and then glue them into the book just with Elmers glue

i made a little cover piece for the outside of the book using scrapsi am all about little pockets with tags right now! so fun!

finally, i wrapped it with some [shhh don't tell] leftover wrapping paper. and topped it off with a little name tag!

the exchange party is supposed to be a sort of guessing game, but right when she was handed my gift, she knew it was me. i am so predictable sometimes...

golly i love crafting

smile on friends!
