just call me katniss

I know my last post was a phone pic grid too...but i'm super IN-TO-THEM right now. {someday, oh golly, i hope someday, i will have an iphone and can instagram. but for now...i make do with my android photos!!!}

In honor of The Hunger Games coming to theaters, I wanted to post about my adventures over the weekend!

First, I went to the movie {epic!}. I really, really enjoyed it!
Then, I learned archery! Just like Katniss, waddup giiiiiiirl! I just need a cool over-the-should-holder so I can take out an arrow with smoldering eyes and then shoot at a bag of apples and blow some crap up!!!

I also did some other fun stuff too:)
Check it:
1 // not to brag or anything {but yeah, kinda to brag...} i hit the bullseye by first time. i'm a natural...some live deer next i think.
2 // ew. who eats sardines? NOT ME. yuck.
3 // we biked close to 20 miles on recumbent bikes, so fun!
4 // my awesome mom gettin' it done {side not--she lost her phone on the trail, and some lovely man picked it up and it found it's way back to us--yay for great, honest people:)}
5 // beautiful view of the river
6 // new shoes! the bomb-diggity
7 // a gorgeous day
8 // my mamma and me:)
9 // our final destination

It was an awesome day, and here is a quote I yelled to my mom while biking that sums it up pretty well:
"I have to consciously think about not smiling, I'm so happy".
:)

On the topic of The Hunger Games film, I feel like I have discussed it a lot...but here are some conclusions I have come to {in a rambling format}:

--- casting was superb!
--- the relationships Katniss had with Peeta, Gale, and even Rue were not mastered, but I understand how complicated they would be to portray in a movie
--- the graphics were pretty unrealistic and juvenile, but the budget wasn't high so that's understandable
--- the amount of "gore" portrayed was perfect for me! i thought it was so tastefully done!
--- yes, there were small changes from the book, but overall it followed better than a lot of movies based off of books
--- Jennifer Lawrence and Stanley Tucci stole my heart. they were wonderful.
--- the "Katniss volunteers scene"took my breath away. i was crying so hard i thought i would pass out from trying to hide it. i just wanted to hug my little sister so bad!
--- kato's final speech kind of just weirded me out...
--- i don't remember the last time i jumped as hard as i did when the muttation came out of the woods. whoa.

Probably more things too...but gosh. It was good. What did you think?

Happy Monday!

OH and...
I gave blood today, you should too!

At South By Southwest the Instagram folks did mention they were working on the Android version and that it would be out soon... I'm holding out for it to finally be available so I can jump on that bandwagon!
