sweet sixteen surprise

In this post I talked about a gift I  made for my sister for her birthday. But the real winning gift was the surprise party I planned with the help of my mom and her friends.

Can I just say, I would do this (plan parties) over and over forever if I could. I loved it.

I centered the party around a dinner party + photoshoot theme.
I made a photo backdrop out of strips of fabric, and made silverware holders out of vintage fabric and buttons.
The final product.
1 // sign in the center piece flowers
2 // i had everyone take a packet of paper to write letters/quotes/messages to her, which i will compile into a scrapbook after photos from the party are printed
3 // silverware wraps and place tags with each guests initials
4 // the table was a little squished for the girls under all the decorations, but it worked

The girls were SO cute during the photoshoot, and throughout the whole party.
A fish taco meal, and lots of adorable photos.
This was a blast. And I think she was definitely surprised. And I definitely was excited as this.
I just adore surprises so much! The girls arrived at our house and I was so excited, I was shaking, and talking a million miles a minute. I hopped in the shower, and when I turned off the water, realized I still had shampoo in. I needed to settle down.

But the surprise was awesome, the photoshoot was fabulous and the party was an all around success.
:)

Smile on, friends!
