beginnings

1 // we have gone to get Rolo McFlurrys. Way. Too. Much. the past few days
2 // so official in my business gear
3 // lunch with e in the middle of the day, is the best thing ever. the mexican grocery store around here is epic to say the least
4 // monday nights are reserved for skiing at my dad's house. i'm officially the worst one. even e got up on 1 ski his first time this week! {i just have to get up on one. i need an attitude change. i can do it. i can do it.}
5 // e and i went on a tea walk
6 // i wandered back to my college town to see some of my besties for a night
7 // we played yard games that seemed like a joke to me
8 // my mamma had her first art show, which was awesome!
9 // e and i made up games behind her tent

Lots of new beginnings lately. It's the begginning of June, beggining of summer, beggining of a new home and a new job.

The last few weeks have flown by, but things are finally starting to slow down. A lot of people have been asking about my new job; Recreation Programming Intern. I am in the middle of my second week. Here is the most important thing: i love it! Here are some more things:

I love how quirky and nice all the ladies in my office are.
I love the fresh brewed coffee that is waiting for me each morning.
I love that I can practically see my house from the parking lot.
I love that I can actually interact with humans.
I love that I don't get scolded for coughing too loud.
I love that I am going to take tons and tons of photos of all the programs this summer.
I love that I have my own desk.
I love that we get free ice cream because we had too much at a meeting for the staff the other day.
I love how open my schedule is, and how I am trusted enough to be responsible and reliable, allowing me the freedom to chose when I come in {though I still come in at the same time each morning, i love schedules}.
I love the laminator and want one really bad.

I just love a lot of things here.
and I have learned some things too.

I have learned that opening hundreds of tennis bottles makes me smell like a giant tennis ball fart.
I have learned that too much coffee makes my fillings hurt.
I have learned that I want a laminating machine.
I have learned to appreciate how much works by advisors in the past have put into this field.
I have learned how to make copies, and love it {too much}.
I have learned names.
I have learned that my love of lists is handy when being an intern.
I have learned that sports storage sheds contain a lot of spiders.

It's just been so wonderful. I feel so incredibly blessed to have been hired for this position. And look forward to every day that is coming.

Smile on, friends.
I know I will be.

The skiing picture is so amazing! I've never tried it but it looks like so much fun (although I have terrible balance so I'm not sure how successful it would be!)
