to 2013

as I reflect on the past year, i am utterly grateful. the theme of it all, that's what it is grateful.

for the people i've met.
for the people i loved.
for the people who left.
for my friends.
those who have stayed by my side, and those I have gracefully let fly.
for my family.
for my broken heart.
for my healing heart.
for my dates, who have each been a part of my story in little ways and big.
for my first little apartment.
for my new homey apartment.
for captured moments.
for opportunity.
for beautiful places i have seen.
for vulnerably.
for strength.
for pride.
for humbleness.
for not second guessing myself.
because here is the quote that exploded my heart today, and it speaks volumes for this time in my life:

you are not a mess, you are normal.

extraordinary, perhaps.

in the blink of an eye your life will change. 

and it will continue to change for decades to come.
