it's november

The daily grind. It's a weird thing isn't it? Being an average person with an incredible amount of daily blessings that just hang out in our lives with little to no recognition. I would love to change that. I would love to grab every day, every hour, every minute, by the balls. Just take in every beautiful breath and give it the recognition it deserves. But the humbling part, the realistic part, is that's not easy. But we can do our part. We can remind ourselves of the blessings we have. The crazy awesome parts of life that can be so minimal on the grand scale, but holy shit we have wealth that can't be measured in those moments.

An example, ay?

Today I struggled with those Minnesotan thoughts, those ones that said, oh my god it's only 30 degrees today. Why do I live here. Why why why. And then I drove south, to my grandparents farm, I got to watch the sun set over golden fields and fall trees, and see my family members that all live within an hour distance. And I was reminded, oh right. That's why. Because of the blessings that are hidden here in my life.

Thanks November 1st, you were a good one.
