goals recap | march 15

I want to start a new monthly post centered around goals. If there's anything I've learned from the Whole30, it's that I like goals and rules...A LOT!

Here I hope to track monthly goals. Most will be unique each month, but if needed can be carried through onto another month. Ohmygosh, I can't believe it's the end of March. Life, slow down!

MARCH | recap

drink water
...definitely complete. there are rare days that i don't cross off at least 3 of my 26oz circles
walk 10,000 steps a day with fitbit
...sometimes on the weekends i wouldn't get there, but i'm still going to count this is a win
read four almost three novels
...this was way harder than i anticipated, and i'm going to lower my expectations on this guy.
...i was told there'd be cake by sloan crosley. i really liked this book, especially for before bedtime because it was easy to read just a few pages and fall asleep, and then pick up where i left off the next night.
...yes please by amy poehler. i mean duh, obviously awesome. i didn't want it to end.
...not that kind of girl by lena dunham. wasn't able to finish this, but i really really like it so far. i have mixed feelings about lena sometimes, but overall it makes me giggle and i really appreciate her weird honesty and her don't give a f attitude.
watch no netflix before bed, read instead
...this went really well and helped with sleep so much, i hope to make this a habit for life. the nights i did watch netflix instead, i would always think WTF...time goes so much faster and all of a sudden it's so late...plus it's not even worth it!
eat majority whole30
...this i definitely accomplished, there are meals that i didn't need (i'm trying to limit my use of the word regret), but i think that will get better and better each time i reset with a whole30. this past week was hell and i absolutely can't wait to start another round because i'm eating shit left and right!
buy no clothing
...this also went really well. except that time i forgot pants for work, and had to go to target to buy some...and also i had to buy a couple of workout tanks because i was getting too cold...if you know what i mean...in my other workout tanks
stretch every night before bed
...this went pretty well. not as great as i expected. daily habits are hard! will definitely keep this on my list
sleep 7+ hours a night
...first i had to train myself to remember to put my fitbit to sleep each night, that went well. and i would say this was pretty much accomplished. the goal of no netflix before bed super duper helped with this one
blog more
...so thankful that this went well. i think a habit is formed now...i can put it back on my goal list if needed!
edit e&j wedding / c&a wedding footage
...finished e&j and SO close to finishing up c&a
