life lately | may 2015

This past weekend was very full and very fun. I started my night on friday doing NOTHING! Which I haven't done in forever. And by nothing, I just mean nothing socially, I still did a bunch of random stuff here and there in my room. I don't even remember what at this point...edited, downloaded, cleaned, random samara stuff.

Saturday, I started the morning meeting my amazing, beautiful, talented mamma in my hood for a little backyard art fair she was in. She's amazing seriously. I can't even described how blessed I am by her. She was about 3 (hilly) miles from my place, so I got to bike there. We set up her tent and then hung out a bit until afternoon. Then I met some girlfriends back at my place. Art-a-whirl, NE was all around my neighborhood, so there was a lot going on. We biked back to my mammas again (lunch in tote for her:) ), and hung out with her a bit. Conveinently I had enough bikes for everyone. Lolfest. Sometimes being a hoarder comes in handy...We then biked back to the heart of the events, walked around, got some coffee, checked out some art. I biked back later, while they hung on my proch, to help my mom tear down. Then all of us hung out on my porch and chatted and drank and ate! It was beautiful! A storm was brewing, so they had to take off before that hit. Then my mamma slept over and it was wonderful:)

Dirty feet means summer :):):)

The next morning I made breakfast and coffee for us. My mom took off for the second day of her art show, and I took off to the St Croix River area to watch my dad and sis run a half marathon. I didn't really think about the timeline of a half marathon...or how long it would take in general...so I ended up waiting on the side of this country highway for about an hour and a half waiting for the runners. It also rained a little. It was pretty fun actually. The only time I was not happy to be there, was when I realized omg I might tinkle my pants. So in between runners, I squatted in the ditch! Pah!!!! Trust me, I had to do it. I pulled my pants just in time for the next stranger to pass and cheered him on just like the others. My dad came first, he's awesome! My sis a little ways after! It was also her 10th birthday, so I had signs and birthday hats! I ran with her until she was almost to the finish, and then her friends cheered her on at the end.

After the race, we headed back to my dads place to make birthday waffles and bacon:) It was a great day! Then that night J and I went to St Anthony Main to see Mad Max. I never would have thought I would like it from the trailers, but it was incredible! I also brough my cauliflower pizza into the theater and munched on dried mango, so it was a great night all around:)

Yay for weekends!!!
