life lately | september 2016

Well, life has been moving super fast! The few weeks leading up to our Hawaii trip were INSANE. I put in so many hours at work and it was annoying, but at the same time necessary and didn't really matter since a new vacation was waiting in the end. It was just nice to work had and get everything read to go so I didn't come back to messes. I have a lot of work coming my way with a new project, so I'm just enjoying the pace of work right now, until things speed up again.


Hawaii was AMAZING. I still miss it like crazy. In related news, today I had an appointment, and it's confirmed I have a tailbone fracture. It's been a huge bummer, but I still keep coming back to - at least it's not a leg or an arm. I would rather have an injury that's annoying than one that 1. wouldn't have let me finish that awesome hike that did it or 2. could cause damage later on. I didn't get a x-ray, but the dr. was very confident it is a fracture based on the isolated area of sharp pain, and the fact that it hasn't improved 1.5 weeks later. For now, sitting is pretty painful unless I sit forward with my weight on my thighs. Driving isn't comfortable. Sleeping is getting better. I'm a side sleeper anyway, so that's an advantage. I wake up with little pain, but as the day goes on and I use that area more, I'm in pain by the end of the day. I have a pretty bad cough too, with really strong coughs that come on fast and hard. That pain is very sharp, especially if I'm sitting down. If I'm standing it's bearable, but if I get a coughing attack in the car, there's not much I can do but hope I'm not hurting the injury more.


But hey! Could be so much worse, I don't have chronic pain, and it's a kick ASS story ;)


In other news, something really exciting is in process. I want to be careful with sharing just until it's official, but we got some exciting news yesterday morning and have a few more steps to secure...eek!

My upgrade is finally up on my phone, my new phone is arriving Thursday hopefully. I really miss documenting daily life with photos! I'm exciting to get the iPhone 7. I have been surviving with my sisters iPhone 5 for a few weeks, but haven't taken near enough photos. Luckily i have been keeping with 1SE (1 second every day app). Yay!

 Met up with high school friends in Uptown at the COOLEST apartment ever! Lots of laughter  :)

 My roomies and ellie got together and went to Spitz! It was such a great time and always so fulfilling to spend time with these beautiful women. Plus a baby! I was so sad to be sick, and strayed away from getting to close to baby soph. Some day soon I want to snuggle!
