our little house | progression part 1

I love being a home owner. It's so weird how much pride we take in the smallest updates. We extended the pull chain to our hallway light fixture and I wanted to do backflips it was so exciting.
Here are a few things we have done lately:

-Put together two dressers, one in the office for me, one in the bedroom for J
-Roughly organized the upstairs guest room (still need to figure out the bed frame since we couldn't fit the boxspring up there
-Sanded and deglossed all cabinet doors and cabinet frames
-Ordered and put together rugs in dining room, entry way and living room
-Finished bathroom! Rehung the mirror, new shower curtain, new outlet and switch covers ( it looks SO good, probably the best room in the house)

This past weekend was REALLY productive.
-Replaced curtains in living room
-Put two coats of primer on side one of all cabinets
-Started 1st coat of primer on cabinet frames
-Repainted dining room (decided to just GO for it yesterday, bought it and painted within a few hours). I LOVE the color. It's almost mint - and I didn't even try to do it!

Also our seller Derek popped over this week and ended up chatting with john for over and hour! How cute! We will have to have them over for drinks or something once the house feels more done:)

The bummer part about projects in the winter, I had to sand in the cold dark basement after work days.

 Newman didn't like that I was sanding in the garage, but he really wanted to be extra close.

 My dad sent me a drill for Christmas eeek! Homeowner joys:)

We also picked out our couch! And had it delivered a few days later
