life lately | january | part I

Happy New Year! I'm not sure how this year could get better than last year, but i have a funny feeling it's going to be a pretty awesome one. Life has been pretty full already. We've had weekend trips, and busy work days, and a healing Dunken from his neuter.

Here's my second every day from 2017!


The year started with a NYE wedding to celebrate Anna and Andy! Such a fun night. A cold hit me super hard in the middle of the night, so i tried to dance it off still!

Had a late Christmas celebration with the clan up north!

 Mom took a ski trip right after, and this photo is to cute to not document.

Sis got some sort of stomach flu while we were at grams, so she slept over when we got back so Dunken could nurse her back to health. 

And on Wednesday, Dunken finally had his manhood taken. It went well and his sutures are healing nicely! The calming meds they gave us barely work. They did the first day which was so bizarre to see him calm. But he's pretty much just as hyper as ever and poor dude is SO stir crazy. 

When i went to pick him up from his surgery, they told me he had destroyed his first cone!!! He's such a creepy little chewer. So our current process is, he has to sleep in our room with the cone on so we can hear him if he starts destroying it (he's doing SUPER well -which will make it hard to kennel train again, but we gotta do it) and during the day we put this alternative donut on him. He can still reach his wound with that, but it seems like it distracts him a bit so he's less likely to. Honestly he only tries to do it like 1-2 times a day and listens to us when we say no. So going well! But we're SO excited to get him back outside so he can experience the dog park finally!
