lazy sunday afternoons

As students, we really have it made in this town. There is a river 2 blocks from our house, that is prime for floating (literally hundreds of floaters a day, it's fantastic), there is a lake with a beach about 5 blocks away, and many other great things to do on a sunny sunday afternoon. After laying out in the sun and reading with my neighbor, there was so much sweat gathering on my skin I was practically sliding off the chair. So, we decided to end it for the day.

This was at about 2pm.

I came back to my house, and in my living room sat my roommates. While I ate a sammy (pepperjack cheese, salami, butter = wad up my default summer meal!), they watched netflix and zoomed around on their respective computers. I mentioned a few things we should do because it's so hot out. They mumbled that would be fun...then I absentmindely started putting some pieces in the puzzle that we had started earlier in the week. One by one they joined me.

Eventually. It grew to an obsession.

I gave up after about 2 hours. They kept going. By 4 I mentioned it was still hot and we could still play outside!....but no....

6 hours later, they finally finished.

Pathetic?

But hey, at least it's good for the mind...
