so many projects...so little time...

The title is a lie actually. I have spent my morning sleeping in, making pancakes, and eating them in my bed while I watch How I Met Your Mother. I have to say, I finally understand what everyone has been fussing about! I LOL more than I have at a show like that in a long time...clever, clever, clever. I did drive all the way to the grocery store to get creamer, so that's one success of the day. My coffee is usually unrecognizable after I place my creamer. It's a very light brown color. I LOVE my creamer...EEEE!

It was truly a great experience, going to the store, especially since I didn't realize until my homecoming, that my white-frilly-in-front tank top is not see through in the front. But sure is the back. So sorry MegaFoods shoppers and employees for the entire view of my not-cute-sunday-afternoon-bra strap and my not-distracted-by-a-patterned-shirt love handles. WOOPS!

SO to be fair, I think it's my current like of laziness rather than my lack of time that projects have been on a halt. But, here I am posting, so at least I can check one thing off my to-do list! WOOO HOOO!!!

Currently listening to Black River byAmos Lee.

So, so pretty.

ANYHOO. My current project is a new room layout. Below are just some little sketches of what I am thinking...

I know what your thinking....these you could have at least used better handwriting...this is true.

So this is what I'm thinking...the walls are so drab, so I need a way to distract from them. I plan to go to Good Will to get some fabric and drape it on the right side, as you can see in the photo. Maybe patterned, maybe not. If sheer, I will put white lights draped along with it for a whimsical look. The wall where my bed is, also is the entrance to the "attic", which spiders used to venture out of, but then i bug sprayed the CRAP outta the door and we haven't had to hunt spiders before bed since! I want to cover the door with a fake headboard. I plan on putting a curtain rod above the bed, under the photo collage i have. Hanging sheer fabric from it with white lights behind it. I am super.duper.pumped! I think it will be grand! Now we'll just see if I finish:)

OH here is what it currently looks like:

I already verbally told you I spend the afternoon in bed, so I didn't make the bed since i'm sure it was assumed. PLUS it will make for a more dramatic "after" photo! i'm so sneaky...

PS. does anyone have a clever idea for covering those ugly light fixtures? I can't really replace them since the house is rented, and my landlords didn't ask me if these were 'cute' enough. How rude.
