On Wednesday, we started off the morning by attempting to get rush tickets of Avenue Q...however we thought we would get them at 10am, but had to wait until noon. Which wasn't huge deal. The box office was right by Times Square, so E and I went to take some cliche pics in front of the flashy signs!

OH-EM-GEEZY I'm in NEW-YORKZY!

He's super pumped too!

Eventually E took off to get some stuff done for school, I spent my minutes in Forever 21 at times square. HOLLA! It was great! Way better than the Mall of America one. It was organized. AND 6 levels!
After I picked up the tickets for Avenue Q, I headed to Wall Street.
Saw some protesters...I don't really know what to think of it. I don't have a full understanding of what's happening anyway, so it was hard to have any opinons or anything. Wow, i'm so enlightened. NOT.
I met up with an old friend, whom I first met in SEVENTH GRADE, Maia. She has a big girl life, with a big girl job on wall street and a big girl apartment in Manhattan. WOWZA! It was very exciting to catch up with her, and fun to have her try and convince me to move here sometime soon. It surely is on my radar, I must say! She took me on a little walk to battery park, I got my first glimpse of that lady, that statue lady, the Statue of Liberty I mean. That's about as close as I came, or my interest came (I'm not a huge sucker for touristy stuff)...

Aint she pretty!!!!

It was fun walking around again, and I have grown to really like it here. That night, I made my way from E's house in Brooklyn (in the dark, which I said I wouldn't do, oops!), to meet him at Union Square where is class was. We met at 7:30, scrambled together hand in hand to the subway stop, and made it just in time at the Avenue Q theater. We even squeezed in a few minutes to order a sangria at the bar. The show made us giggle a lot, and I can't believe how good they are manuevering their puppets!
The show was very vulgar and clever, and right up my alley! My favorite moments include a song about puppet coitus (hehe!) and the beginning of a scene in which a blast of music accidently came on. One of the puppets turned and said "what the hell was that!" to cover up the mistake...but alas, it was pretty obvious to us, especially when the rest of the puppets were shaking because their puppeteers were laughing so hard. Why is it so much funnier when characters break character from natural laughter? It's the best! The enourmous laughter from the audience and the laughter from the performers lasted quite a bit, eventually everyone got a hold of themselves.
I had tears. It was so funny.
:)
Then we went home and I tried to smile when I wanted to frown because I don't want to leave this place, or E.
