life lately | february

Life has been so so so so so good! there is just so much joy to be had lately and I feel so lucky! Despite some of the political turmoil that is happening, it's nice that there is still so much happy around our days. We love our home, we love our friends, we love our family. SO much good.


When I went to WI to have a girls weekend with some college Frisbee friends the other weekend. My incredible friend stu made us chili, and then she was like do you guys want to go meet my friend Rose downstairs I'm going to bring her some chili. This is the beautiful person she is, uff makes my heart strings tug. So we walk downstairs and get to meet Rose, a 70ish year old Philipino woman who is adorable and so excited to show us around her apartment. She tells us some stories and I ask about all of her plants. She tells us about a big one in the middle that's 27 years old. I asked "whats the story that's amazing!" and she tells us that it's the plant she was given by the US when she came here 27 years ago. Talk about heart melting. We used to give little plants and now we're closing our boarders. But let's focus on the positive, how cool is that!


Photos of life to come! I spent a lot of my weekend organizing and editing photos from really old to recent, so hopefully I can catch up on some blogging photos shortly. I made 4 shutterfly photo books over the weekend for each year 2013-2016, and I'm SO thrilled! They are going to be filled to the brim, LOTS of little photos on each page, but it will still be so nice to have a little keepsake of actual printed photos!
