My sis and I flew down to see our pops and his wife in Texas! He officially owns some property on a ski lake there, so he is officially a Texan:)


We had quite the travel experience...we were supposed to fly down Friday night, but there was a huge blizzard. Our flight kept getting delayed and we were at the gate for about 3 hours until they finally cancelled the flight. Luckily I splurged and parked at the airport so we just drove back and slept at my house. The next morning we were pushed to an early flight so went to the airport. Our flight was delayed a few more times so we didn't end up landing in Texas until about noon. So we lost some time, but it was still a good trip otherwise. Our first stop was Butcher and Board in downtown McKinney. It's a sandwich shop that's BOMB.

Then of course we got ice cream. There was a fruity pebble flavor!

We stopped to see dad's property! There's a dock already put in, they just need to update it and get started on building a home!

We helped decorate for Christmas, which sis and I are specialists at ;)

Day 2

We got some brunch in Dallas at Wayward sons. It was trendy and hip and really cool, but the food wasn't CRAZY awesome. Yummy brunch cocktails though!

The rest of the day we walked around Downtown McKinney and went in the cute shops and enjoyed the town. And got more ice cream of course...oh and dad stepped in poop.

We only had 2 nights to enjoy, and since our flight was early the next morning we just snuggled and watched a movie.
