Happy St. Patty's day!
I'm a little behind on the days, but here's some more catching up on my NYC trip!
Thursday we adventured around the city again. We took a little trip to Grand Central Station. Took our cliche tourist shots there. It was actually really pretty...I could eat that turquoise ceiling it's so beautiful!
Somehow, we ended up spending like an hour at Toys R Us in Times Square...dunno how that happened! It was really fun though! There was a ferris wheel...
and lots and lots of candy!
{i just realized we have almost the same facial expression in this pic and the one before ha!}
E was mad that we didn't go on the ferris wheel. Poor kid.
Creepy elf man.
This is me eating candy in Times Square {so normal}
We hung out in Times Square before E took me to a secret surprise in the city. I bought a green dress at Forever 21 for St. Patty's day {which E found for 12 dollars on a rack! I was so proud!}.
We went to Applebees for a little dinner and drinks {I know it's lame to go there in this huge city, but I had a giftcard OK!}. Next, we walked down the street. E was giddy with anticipation for his surprise. It was precious, really. He was so excited. And I was too since I love surprises so much!
Here's a little background: Over winter break, when E was staying with me for his break from school, his papa brought us a big ol' box of movies he got at an estate auction or something like that. They were all really crappy movies like a horror movie from the 80's called "Frogs", but I snagged the movie "Once" from the bottom of the box and got really excited {it's a wonderful movie. if you haven't seen it...you should}. I started chattering about it, and how much I liked it. Then I opened the case. And it was empty. WHAAAAAAT!!! I was pretty bummed.
So Mr. E remembered that, and got us tickets to Once on Broadway!!!
{He even dressed up like the guy on the poster :):):):) }
It was really nice to see some wonderful musicians. And broadway is always so wonderful. It was a little slower-paced than the other shows I have been too, but golly the singers are so talented.
Thank you, thank you, thank you E :)
Wear your green today folks!
